Born in an oil marsh on a cold overcast evening. Crawled from the muck into a rusted steel mill. Found a pencil and began drawing with an insatiable fervour. Roy Wang/ Fropomolo finds comfort in the existential, the desolate, the macabre, and the resilient. Illustrating mechanical entities and mutated abominations that act with more kindness than the systems that oppress them, Roy strives to hide moments of empathy in the aesthetics of horror and depravity. Utilising visuals; static, motion, and transitory, they endeavour to communicate the abstract and harsh.
